What is your primary product or service?
East-Lind Heat Treat is a primary provider of heat treating services for a variety of industries in southeast Michigan. How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As an owner of East-Lind Heat Treat, I am a third-generation heat treater. My grandfather started in this line of buisness back in the 1950's. My father started East-Lind Heat Treat in 1976. I have been involved in the company since the late 1970's, sweeping floors and learning from the ground up and acquiring a degree in Applied Engineering with a background in business from MSU. I proudly have a son pursuing degrees in business and metallurgy, and working in our Quality Dept. East-Lind Heat Treat will be a trusted and valued supplier to industry in southeast Michigan for decades to come!

East-Lind Heat Treat is able to service very small, one-piece jobs for the tool & die, special machine, fabricating and prototype industries, up to much larger sections and semi-production (batch-production) for steel companies, gear, stamping, screw machine and CNC machine industries. What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
I find that one of the best compliments is when a metalworking company is asked "Who is your heat treater?", and thier answer is "I don't know". To me, that means that work flow is going smoothly for them - no quality issues, no turnaround issues, no reason to stop focusing on thier important customers to have to deal with heat treating issues. If we can be invisible and taken for granted, I know we are doing our job and have become an integral part of your process, which is to seamlessly meet all of YOUR customer's needs on a regular basis. Of course we are more than happy to be there to provide service and technical support whenever needed. That is one of our primary strengths.
